I collaborate with organizations and brands that align with my vision of incorporating mental and physical health into the daily habits of the Restaurant and Hospitality professionals. Whether that is forming communities around physical wellness, like the Comedor Run Club or our in restaurant Service Industry Yoga sessions, or providing resources for mental wellness by holding the Austin chair for the Ben’s Friends nonprofit organization (501c3), I am always looking for new ways to create alternative spaces for connections in the restaurant and hospitality community.
When I consider wellness in the service professional, it is equally as important to consider food origin, the commitment to thoughtfully sourcing food, and the continuing education need to practice these ideals. By partnering with the local food economy, beyond the restaurant, we can learn how to share this knowledge with the restaurant and hospitality professionals.
